The neighborhood is defined by detached homes on generous lots, with many homesites running from roughly half an acre to more than an acre and a small premium tier shaped by lake frontage, basement layouts, and occasional private pools.
Community Highlights
Most of Glen Forest was built from 1991 through 2011, with the strongest concentration in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Traditional two-story and mixed-story layouts dominate, and the housing stock leans toward larger plans with about four bedrooms and just under three full baths on average. Fireplaces appear throughout the neighborhood, and listings repeatedly highlight hardwood floors, walk-in closets, granite kitchens, bonus rooms, office or study space, and main-level primary suites. Decks and screened porches are common extensions of the living space, which fits the lot sizes and the wooded edges that show up across the subdivision.
Construction materials are varied rather than uniform. Brick appears often in Glen Forest, but it shares the streetscape with stucco, stone, and fiber-cement exteriors, especially among the custom homes.
