Yacht Harbor is a small Lake Norman neighborhood where water access is built into the address. On the Brawley School Peninsula, recent resales repeatedly center on deeded boat slips, direct waterfront positions, or year-round and seasonal lake views, giving the community a stronger boating identity than a typical inland subdivision.

Most homes were built between 1990 and 2016, with the heaviest concentration from the early 1990s through 2001, and the setting is notably low-density for Mooresville: lots run from about 19,600 to 30,900 square feet, averaging just over half an acre. Ranch plans appear often, but the streetscape also includes Charleston-inspired and midcentury modern designs, with custom floor plans showing up throughout the neighborhood. Yacht Harbor's shared amenity package is specific to the setting. Listings repeatedly point to a community lakefront area with a beach, gazebo, fire pit, picnic space, and, in one recent resale, a lighted boardwalk and paddle board storage. That common shoreline area matters because deeded boat slips are a defining feature here rather than an occasional bonus, and several waterfront homes also include private docks or piers.

The neighborhood sits beside Lake Norman Yacht Club and near Trump National Golf Club Charlotte, so the surrounding context reinforces the boating corridor of the peninsula. Private pools, hot tubs, and outdoor kitchens appear in a handful of waterfront properties, but the consistent community-wide draw is lake access, water views, and roomier custom homesites rather than a centralized resort amenity package.
