Lakecrest is one of Anderson's more practical ways to live near Lake Hartwell without committing every home to full waterfront pricing. The neighborhood is unmistakably lake-oriented: public boat-ramp access sits close to the entrance, many interior lots pick up seasonal water views, and a smaller group of shoreline homes brings docks, open-water sightlines, and gentle walks to the water.

Community Highlights

Most of Lakecrest is made up of detached single-family homes on lots that are noticeably larger than many in-town neighborhoods. Recorded lot sizes run from about 19,000 to 102,000 square feet, with an average near 26,000 square feet, so front porches, decks, fenced back yards, and extra parking or workshop space are common parts of the streetscape. The housing mix spans 1970 to 2019, with a clear concentration of early-2000s construction alongside renovated older ranch homes and a handful of larger lake houses. Garages appear on roughly two-thirds of recorded properties, and basements are most common on the waterfront and upper-price homes.

Hartview Circle holds the premium end of the neighborhood. Closed sales there average just over $507,000, well above the pricing on Midway Drive and Lakecrest Road, because that stretch includes many of the dockable and water-oriented properties. Those homes are the ones most associated with sunset views, deep water, covered slip docks, boat lifts, and broad decks turned toward the lake. Elsewhere in the subdivision, the housing stock shifts to a more approachable mix of one-level homes and two-story plans with granite counters, hardwood or LVP flooring, fenced yards, and detached workshop or garage space.
