The strongest visual theme is the relationship to the water. Listings repeatedly highlight panoramic Lake Keowee views, covered docks, sandy or private beach areas, and gentle or nearly flat walks to the shoreline. One recent waterfront sale combined about 1.28 acres with 130 feet of frontage and a private beach, while another emphasized more than 200 feet of level waterfront. Screened porches, three-season rooms, and covered outdoor living spaces appear throughout the neighborhood, reinforcing the indoor-outdoor layout that buyers expect in a lake community.

Amenities & Lifestyle

Sunset Bay is defined more by private property features than by a long list of shared amenities. Docks, beach areas, large decks, fireplaces, wet bars, and walkout lower levels show up again and again, and garage space is especially common across the neighborhood. Several homes add practical lake-living details such as workshop space, storage for kayaks and paddleboards, or easy boat access to the main channel.

The setting is not purely waterfront. One pending home sits about 200 feet from a boat ramp on a partially wooded lot and adds a saltwater pool, updated kitchen, and two-car garage, showing that interior addresses still participate in the lake-oriented character. Several listings also note the absence of HOA fees, which adds to the community's more independent feel.
