Sunset orientation is part of the address: long-range lake views, covered balconies and patios, and back-of-home outdoor living show up repeatedly. Most homes were built between 2004 and 2006, and the dominant layout is a two-story plan with a main-level primary suite, upper-level secondary suites, and bonus or loft space that can flex for media, office, or guest use.

The shared amenity package is unusually strong for a community of this size. Cove Key centers on a private pool and spa, with repeated references to a beach area, day docks, and community dock access that keep the shoreline in daily use rather than simply in the view. Several residences also include or reference private boat slips, lifts, or nearby slip arrangements, adding a practical boating component to the lakefront setting.

Inside the homes, updated kitchens, quartz or granite surfaces, hardwood floors, generous storage, and attached garages are standard expectations rather than exceptions. Elevator access appears in several residences, and a number of the highest-priced homes have undergone full-scale renovations with premium appliance packages, motorized blinds, custom cabinetry, and other luxury finish upgrades. South Cove Key Lane has recently produced the community's strongest pricing, particularly among heavily renovated waterfront units.
