First Impressions
Touchstone has the feel of a South Charlotte neighborhood that settled in early and has been cared for ever since. The streets are lined with mature trees, and the homes sit on generous lots that give the community a more spacious presence than many nearby subdivisions. Built largely from the mid-1980s into the early 1990s, the neighborhood reads as established rather than new, with traditional rooflines, broad front elevations, and a comfortable mix of character and practical updates. Home Styles & Community Feel
Single-family homes define Touchstone, and the architecture leans classic: two-story plans, ranch layouts, colonial-inspired façades, and plenty of brick mixed with Hardiplank and other traditional siding. Many homes have been thoughtfully refreshed over time, with features like hardwood floors, updated kitchens, renovated baths, screened porches, decks, and fenced backyards.
