Looking for an active lifestyle in the heart of Boca Raton? Boca Pointe is a large community where development began in the early 1980s and continues today. That's right, you can buy new construction (Ascend Properties are the builders) in 2015. Residents of Boca Pointe can enjoy golf (non-mandatory membership), tennis, and much much more.
Location & Schools:
Boca Pointe is centrally located between the Turnpike and Jog in Boca Raton. This means Del Prado Elementary School, Omni Middle School, and Spanish River Community High School school zonings, though there are amazing private school options in Boca, including the prestegious Pinecrest school, St. Andrews, and many private religious school options as well. This excellent location puts Boca Pointe just a short drive down 18th street to the beaches in East Boca, about 15 minutes through the gorgeous Central Boca area.
Parks, Shopping, and Amenities:
Boca Pointe has so much to do inside the community you may never want to leave. Tennis and Golf are available, but there's no equity and membership is not mandatory like it is at many other Boca golf communities. On the off chance you do leave the community to explore, there's so much to do right at your fingertips, including nearby Sugar Sand Park, a great stop with the kids. The park has a Science Exploratorium, carousel, and much more. Shopping is available in all directions. A short trip down Powerline offers access to lots of shops and restaurants, or head west to 441 for shopping, or go to a boutique at the Town Center Mall (4.5 miles) or at Mizner Park (7 miles). Take the kids out to Quiet Waters Park, an affordable day of family fun playing in the water.
Back at home, HOA fees are generally in sub $400/mo range for homes, though some of the condos are higher and can be as much as $937/mo in a recent survey (summer 2016) of available properties.
Construction & Style:
Boca Pointe cannot be labeled one way. With construction spanning four decades, there is something for virtually anyone. The community features Estates as well as 8-story Mid-Rise condos with up to three bedrooms. In our review of homes in the community, we find that even the older models from the 1980s have been tastefully renovated and often expanded to reach modern spec. Whether you want a Townhouse, Condo with a view, large 2,500 sqft family home with a two-car garage, there's just something for anyone.
